Last night, I attended the Porsche Design launch party for the opening of their first store in Australia on Sydney's, King Street. The house party, was held in the sophisticated and luxurious Ivy Penthouse. Adding to the sophistication, the Sweaty Betty PR team ticked off the guest list using an iPad! Some house guests included, Nikki Phillips, Rachel Gilbert, Tom Waterhouse, Laura Csortan and famous Porsche owners.
Entering and relaxing in the penthouse, guests lounged with champagne and canapes, while they experienced an emulation of a home, living in the Porsche Design lifestyle with models walking around in full Porsche Design gear.
Perfectly groomed, Justin Melvey, dressed all in Porsche Design, was the host and officially welcomed us to his Bachelor Pad, where Porsche design items were styled and placed all around the suite.
We were all introduced by Justin, to Porsche Design franchise partner Paul Lee and Managing Director of Porsche Design Asia Pacific Frank Schuermann.
After the speeches, the short film "Form & Function. The Battle" was played, which starred Billy Zane and Karel Roden. The video below.
The experience was great and did I mention, there was also a La Mer hand massage? It was heaven to all the guests who wanted to take a break from their champagne glasses.
It was great to see the fab Faye De Lanty and always-so-nicely-dressed Donny Galella again.
It was also nice to finally meet designer, Rupert Noffs (Gideon Shoes) in person and model/dancer, Daniel Garofali.
Ps: I wish I could live in the Ivy Penthouse forever! haha
I'm wearing Plazmania Silk Shirt by Azuza. Love the print!
Enjoy all the pics!
