Alex Perry was the first show on the RAFW schedule I went to. He presented "Cuban Princess" for his Spring Summer 2011/12 collection that was inspired by Cuba's festival fun, sultry nightlife, and the crisp upper class with white tailored cuts. There were bright bold colours of aqua, red and yellows with glossy and glimmering of sequins reflecting the tropical island.
There were a mixture of short knee lengths and of course long floor gowns, signature of Alex Perry. The make up was by Napoleon Perdis and was Cuban with a "hint of oriental" with the violet and gold.
Although for people who went to LMFF in Melbourne, they would have already seen the collection. But no less it was a good show with loud pumping music that filled the whole venue.
