Whilst thinking how to make my images more interesting than the usual runway pictures, I was inspired by montages and symmetry, so here are my experimental results. I hope it's more interesting. haha
The designs above are by Uscari, which was the first label to show in the group show. Designer Krystel Davis launched the label in 2008 and already has been worn and loved by the likes of Nicole Richie.
This Summer/Spring 11/12 collection is named "Sequence of Light" with the concept of having the physical reality contrasted with the mind. There are lots of intervening parts throughout the designs. "Krystel highlights the stages of such reverie through blends of blush peaches, delicate prints and a play with opacity... Dresses float with chiffons and silks, singlets are bound in broken stretch cotton, and trousers are detailed in gold leaf effect. Layering’s of mesh and open knit weaves stimulate the idea of existence through imagination."
To me, the label gives off a little tribal-esque feel.
