Sorry for the extreme delay of posts from Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2011, due to all sorts of problems and the thousands of photos I am still editing, but I will slowly blog up all the shows I went to. First up is Mrs Press!
Mrs Press was one of the few designers that showed before the actual RAFW week. Known for her beautiful vintage designs, Clare Press presents “Pineapple Princess” for her Spring 2011/12 collection.
The show took place at an urban oasis, at the Garden Court of Sofitel Wentworth, which was the perfect setting for Mrs Press’ collection. Walls were covered in pineapple wallpaper and real pineapples.
The collection was full of fun colours like golden yellows and tangerine oranges, fruits and of course, pineapples complimented by amazing Susie O’Rourke headpieces. There were also fruit necklaces, ribbon tied sun straw hats and straw wedges, and also including a mixture of bows, ruffles, silk and chiffon fabrics.
It was a fun bright lively collection with the vintage touch of Mrs Press. Check out her site and online store here.
